February 2011

Engineering group and sprinkler operations staff attend continuing education seminars: With an eye to the future, Classic Fire Protection believes strongly in keeping our customers safe and protected with the best and most cost effective systems available. In February, nine staff members attended a NFSA technical seminar to address NFPA 33 (Spray applications using flammable and combustible materials).

October 2010

The Canadian Automatic Sprinkler Association’s Ontario Regional Group appoints Mr. Scott Pugsley to be a member of the National Technical Committee as an Ontario Regional Group representative. Scott Pugsley works within our sales/estimating and engineering divisions for sprinkler systems. Scott joins the Technical Committee with over 18 years of experience in the industry in contract sales, manufacturing sales, design and project management.

On the road again for continuing education: Steve Poland (Sprinkler Contracts Manager) and Chris Poland (Systems Designer) recently traveled to the Tyco Global Technology Center in Cranston, Rhode Island for a two-day Residential Training Program centered around NFPA13D design and special residential situations commonly being encountered with modern building materials and architectural features. Currently Classic Fire Protection has a separate group of engineering and installation staff that specializes in providing residential fire sprinkler systems to protect your family and home from the devastating effect of fire.

The Canadian Automatic Sprinkler Association appoints a new Chairman. Mr. Rick Berwick, with his passion for improvement and association development, accepted the nomination from his peers to Chair the Canadian Automatic Sprinkler Association. With previous involvements within the association as National Long Range Planning Chairman, Association Treasurer, National and Regional director positions, Rick continues to provide oversight and guidance to the association and industry to which he has dedicated much of his life.

Our most recent undertaking in 2009, and one which we are very proud to introduce to you, is the addition of Classic HVAC Systems Inc., an affiliate of Classic Fire Protection Inc.

Our HVAC personnel bring with them over 30 years of experience and expertise. We are extremely pleased to offer yet another avenue of service to our existing and new clientele to cover all your heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration needs for commercial and industrial use.

Classic Fire Protection Inc. had its 20th anniversary on March 14, 2008. Classic Fire Protection opened in 1988 in a 400 square foot office with a total of 4 employees. Today we have over 130 full time employees, 2 offices and over 75 service vehicles to meet all of our clients fire protection needs.
